Tip-A-Cop
The goal of the Tip-a-Cop program is to collect as many donations as possible for Special Olympics Oklahoma through “tips.” Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising event in which law enforcement officers assist with waiting tables at a restaurant and collect “tip” donations for Special Olympics.
Any restaurant or any group of people, once recruited to participate, can use the tips-as-a-donation program to help raise money for Special Olympics. The restaurant may provide one day or a whole week where it designates its restaurant for this fundraising effort. The following restaurants have participated in Oklahoma: Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, On the Border, Red Robin and Johnny Carino's. | Special Olympics Oklahoma provides year-round sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. By participating in sports, physical fitness and healthcare education programs, Special Olympics Oklahoma athletes increase self-confidence and social skills, improve physical and motor skills, and have better success in leading more productive and independent lives.
